IVF Success Rates

As you begin your fertility journey, it’s natural to wonder about the odds of success. At Columbia Fertility Associates, we are proud of our consistently high success rates and our efforts to go above and beyond for our patients to help them achieve their dream.

We are members of the Society of Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART), and we report our cycle data annually.

Comparing ART success rates from one clinic to the next is complicated because many different factors must be considered. Clinics may have differences in patient selection, treatment approaches, and cycle reporting practices that may inflate or lower pregnancy rates relative to another clinic. This report is best understood in consult with your physician.

At CFA, we pride ourselves on providing individualized counseling and treatment to our patients and thus do not have rigid age or hormonal cutoffs that exclude them from IVF. We may treat patients with poorer prognoses than other clinics leading to lower outcomes. Furthermore, there is increasing use of preimplantation genetic screening (PGS) with IVF cycles which involves delaying the fresh embryo transfer and performing a subsequent frozen embryo transfer. Again, that may impact the fresh transfer success rates given they may reflect the lower prognosis patients. The frozen embryo transfer cycles success rates are more reflective of the competency of the clinic and laboratory.

*A comparison of clinic success rates may not be meaningful because patient medical characteristics, treatment approaches, and entry criteria for ART may vary from clinic to clinic
